Vintage Slovakian Block Printed, Indigo Dyed Folk Skirt

Wonderful heavily hand pleated vintage Slovakian folk skirt

Made from heavy block printed and indigo dyed linen dyed in artisan workshop in Slovakia. Dark indigo with a polka dot pattern in paler blue. Hand pleated.

4 panels of fabric, 3 of which are pleated, the 4th panel is flat and has an opening over which an apron would have been worn. There is a tear downwards from the opening, the skirt and could be altered so much of the flat panel is removed

Length 74 cm
Waist 90 cm
Circumference at base 320 cm, 252 cm of which is pleated.

In good condition but there is a tear downwards from the opening , this is a large waisted skirt and could be altered so much of the flat panel is removed (I have not Laundered it, it came to me wrapped in fabric in which it has been stored )
